The Clemson area is full of spots that you and your furry friend can enjoy together; whether that may be relaxing, exploring, or grabbing a bite to eat. Here are some of our favorites:

Clemson Dikes

Known for it’s stunning views of Lake Hartwell, the Clemson Dikes are easily accessible and completely pet friendly. After parking at the Clemson Rowing Docks parking area, the dikes can be accessed through a gate to the left of the parking lot. Enjoy 4 miles of grassy pathways, scenic views, and even some access points to the water for your furry friend to splash around in.


Mountain View Park

Located on 340 Mountain View Lane, Mountain View Park is one of Clemson’s hidden gems. With a one-mile walking trail, boat ramp, 9-hole disc golf course, picnic tables and beach access, your dog, as well as you, are sure to stay entertained. Be sure to take your pup to Clemson’s other parks such as Abernathy Waterfront Park, Ashley Dearing Park, and Earle Anderson Park while you’re in town.


Clemson Experimental Forest

Bring your adventure buddy and unleash your wild side at Clemson Experimental Forest! Home to 17,000 acres of wooded walking trails, there’s always something new to discover. With access to water features such as Waldrop Stone Falls and Lake Issaqueena, there are plenty of opportunities for both you and your dog to stay cool in the summer heat.

Enjoy some down home grub while relaxing on Esso Club’s outdoor patio and deck with your pup. Located on Old Greenville Highway in the heart of Clemson, this outdoor patio is the pawfect place to refuel after a hike at the Experimental Forest or Dikes.


South Carolina Botanical Gardens

Located directly next to the University, the 295 acre South Carolina Botanical Gardens offers a beautiful backdrop for your daily walk. Easy to navigate trails through the garden boast a scenic and relaxing spot for you and your dog.


Bowman Field

Located right in the heart of Clemson University’s campus, Bowman field offers views of downtown Clemson and Tillman Hall. Spend the day playing fetch with your pooch or letting them run around the grassy field.


The Abernathy Hotel

The Abernathy is one of Clemson’s premiere hotels, only steps from Clemson University’s campus. Not only is The Abernathy the perfect place for you to stay, it also is perfect for your furry friends.
